Welcome! I’m Matt, and I’m glad you’re here. With over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, I’ve dedicated my career to fostering resilience and shepherding hope to individuals and families facing challenges related to ADHD, anxiety, addiction, and attachment issues.

Throughout my journey, I’ve had the privilege of working in diverse clinical and community settings from Hawaii to Colorado, each enriching my understanding and approach to mental well-being.

My Approach

I believe in the transformative power of mindfulness. Cultivating present-moment awareness is essential not only for reducing suffering but also for empowering individuals to make conscious, values-aligned choices in their lives.

Mindfulness serves as the cornerstone of several therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) focuses on identifying and challenging negative thought patterns, enabling clients to reframe their thinking and develop healthier behaviors.

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) builds on CBT by incorporating mindfulness practices, helping clients recognize and respond to their thoughts and emotions with greater awareness, thereby preventing relapse into negative thinking patterns.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) emphasizes emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. It combines mindfulness with skills training to equip clients with tools for managing intense emotions and improving relationships.

By integrating these approaches, I provide a comprehensive framework that empowers clients to identify and create solutions to navigate challenges effectively.

My Philosophy

At Tuning Fork Solutions, I believe that true healing arises from awareness, acceptance, and the pursuit of effective solutions. If we pay attention, we can experience "aha" moments—times when we resonate like a tuning fork, living in an authentic and present moment. By cultivating these moments, we deepen our connection to ourselves, become seen by others, and find support from and seek to support our community with more integrity to our values. This resonance fosters flourishing in all areas of life.

As Viktor Frankl wisely noted “Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” This insight underscores my approach: by fostering awareness of our thoughts and feelings, we can accept our experiences and make intentional choices that lead to personal growth and liberation. My work is rooted in the belief that everyone has the potential to live authentically and connect deeply with themselves and others, ultimately building the life they desire.
